Who We Are:
The Freedom Fighters are an independent, all-volunteer supporters club of the Washington Freedom, one of the seven teams making up Women's Professional Soccer. Our membership hails from all over and is composed of men, women, and children of all ages and ethnicities. Membership is open to anyone who wants to support the Freedom and promote soccer. We do not tolerate violent or racist behavior, and such actions are grounds for expulsion from the club.
Our Goals:
- To support the Washington Freedom, both on and off the field
- To publicize the Freedom and encourage people to attend matches and support the team
- To coordinate carpools and ride-sharing through our No Fan Left Behind program in order to make it easier for fans to get to the Soccerplex to cheer on the Freedom
- To provide a strong visible and audible presence at Freedom home games in order to show our support and encourage our players
- To provide opportunities for Freedom fans to get together, socialize, and chat about the Freedom, the WPS, and soccer
- To organize road trips to Freedom away games
- To serve as a voice for the fans in discussions with the Washington Freedom organization
- To support the existence and growth of WPS and women's soccer in general
- To support charitable organizations appropriate to our other goals

- For those who need it, a ride to the Soccerplex through our No Fan Left Behind program
- Discounts on road trips and on food at the tailgates
- Invitation to special Freedom Fighters-only events with the team
- Viewing parties for away games at local establishments
- Support of appropriate charities
- Weekly "From the Ramparts" email alerts with news about the Freedom Fighters and the Washington Freedom
(Note that the club is in the process of organizing, establishing a relationship with the team, and delegating responsibilities, hence not all benefits will be available right away.)
